Description:
Michael McCarthy has been investigating alternative approaches to photography for more than twenty years. Working with a wide variety of cameras (pinhole, toy cameras, stereo, half frame, small, medium and large format) and presenting work in many different processes (black and white, color, cyanotype, gum bichromate, liquid light...), Michael investigates photography through the landscape, cityscapes, portraits, nudes and travel imagery.
